Networking Event
The Academy of Finance and Enterprise held the Networking Event at the school, which took place on November 9, 2018. This is an event that was brought together by the teachers of AOFE, with the help of the Virtual Enterprise, Inc. The purpose of this event was to introduce and sell our virtual enterprise to other virtual companies that attended. The event consisted of multiple competitions.
Students from HOPE and NAVA hosted the event, setting up tables, booths and decorations, and invited other schools to come and join. The networking event consisted of multiple competitions on components such as logo, elevator pitch, and more. Thanks to the help of all the HOPE employees, our firm worked really hard and gave their dedication to win the competitions. HOPE achieved first place in the logo competition and first runner up in the elevator pitch competition.
Ad Futures
On October, AOFE students were given an opportunity to participate in an event called Ad Futures. In this event, students worked on an ad to fight against world hunger. Students were able to network with other VE companies. Those who participated created short films, explained their point of view and also detailed their solutions to prevent world hunger. Each group delivered a meaningful message to the crowd and to the judges.
AOFE students worked on a website called feedingamerica.org. Their goal was to advertise the website and receive donations from individuals in order to allow volunteers to provide the people in need to have a place to stay and food to eat, especially in the holidays. Some of their messages were delivered through the social media app called Snapchat. Our team created a filter as one way for them to raise awareness.
