In Morocco, the well known religion is Islam and 98% of the population are practicing Islam. Muslims worldwide participate in the tradition of fasting. This program provides an opportunity for volunteers to experience Ramadan in a Muslim culture, while helping socially disadvantaged families and positively impacted the daily lives of the children in poor neighborhoods. Volunteers would still help children with the English language, organize activities, collecting food and feast together when the sun sets and its time to break the fast. To be in this program, it is not required to fast but to experience the customs in Morocco. This program is only available for 4 weeks, the month of Ramadan.
